Jebel Shams Resort منتجع جبل شمس is located atop the highest mountain in Oman, in the Al Dakhiliyah governorate. The resort is approximately 37km from Al Hamra and 237km from Muscat International Airport. Its location provides views of Wadi Al Nakhar, the Grand Canyons of Oman. Dining includes an àlacarte restaurant with an outdoor terrace. Omani barbecues with traditional music can be arranged upon request. Guests can engage in activities such as cycling and hiking. A playground is available for younger guests. The resort is named "Mountain of the Sun", due to its location as the first and last place to receive sunlight.
